In light of this, we’d like to take a few moments to introduce you to a few of the folks that make up the RPM family.
It’s time to meet our fearless leader, James “JD” Dodson—president and owner of Rapid Power Management.
■ Founded RPM in June of 2002.
■ Has a BBA in marketing from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and an MBA in international business management from the University of Texas at Dallas
■ Became a Certified Energy Manager in December of 2006 and a Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional in 2007.
■ Worked as a salesman and company representative for Reliant Energy before the power industry was deregulated.
■ Was in a break-dancing group when he was 14.
■ Loves chocolate.
■ Is an avid golfer.
■ Once worked as a porter in a bowling alley.
■ Said “Pure West Texas—gentle, sweet and loving,” when we asked him to describe his wife.

■ How do you define “success”?
“When I get a good night’s sleep because I have no worries.”
■ What do you think is the most important innovation that you’ve witnessed in your lifetime?
“Tough question; I really don’t know. But I do love the safety aspect of hands-free calling in the car.”
■ What is your personal motto?
“More Energy Than an Electron.”
■ If you could pick one theme for RPM to turn into a book, what would it be?
“I’d choose our company mission statement: ‘Educating Our Clients to Make Smarter Energy Decisions.’”
■ What are your hopes for the future of the energy industry?
“[More widespread use of] efficient technology. I love how the possibilities for making our country less wasteful just keep on growing.”
■ What three words would you choose to describe Rapid Power Management?
“Educational. Passionate. Hard-working.”
